Eye Tests

Why is an eye test so important?

Our eyes are an essential part of our day to day lives. You may not experience any symptoms or pain, but an eye test can pick up very early signs of certain health problems. The eye-test can also detect underlying health problems that you aren’t aware of such as high blood pressure or diabetes. In addition, having an eye-test with us gives us the opportunity to see if we can help improve your vision. Sometimes we become accustomed to poor vision through familiarity which makes visiting us for an eye-test even more important. Clearer, sharper vision makes sweeping differences in improving your lifestyle, health and general well-being. It’s probably one of the easiest ways to improve your quality of life if we’re able to determine that we can help through an eye-test.

How often should I have my eyes tested?

You should have your eyes tested every 2 years. The eye-test should form part of a regular health check, in order to be able to detect potential underlying health problems as well as changes in your vision. It may need to be more frequent depending on your age and medical history. Should you have an eye-test with us we’ll remind you when you’re due for your next eye-test.

Do you sell contact lenses? How do I get some?

Yes! Our trained staff provide contact lens tests and can recommend the right lenses for you as well as provide training on how to wear contact lenses. We provide some of the best available brands to complement our high levels of service and frames.

What is a styling appointment?

It’s really hard to pick eyewear that suits. It was our mission to change this experience by introducing Kite stylists to help pick frames to suit you. We also spend time with you showing a variety of frames, frame colours, lenses, lens colours… the list goes on. We’re here for you to ensure you experience the best eyewear experience possible.

Gift cards once purchased are non-refundable under any circumstances. They expire within 12 months of purchase.
